Charter to Nguiu

Following Tropical Cyclone Fina in the NT on Saturday 22 November, 2025, Sea Swift was called to assist in emergency restocking island communities in the Territory so those living remotely could assume normal operations.

The Tiwi Islands were hit hard, losing power, destroying houses and downing trees. Authorities are still assessing the scale of the damage.

The Northern Territory Government have engaged Sea Swift in the days following TC Fina to transport emergency supplies to Nguiu to assist in restoring power.

As soon as the Darwin Port was open on Monday 24 November, 2025, Sea Swift transported over 40 tonnes of vehicles, electrical supplies, and construction equipment to the remote Tiwi Islands and Nguiu.

Sea Swift are proud to service remote and island communities of Northern Australia and face significant weather challenges, such as these, in providing essential goods and services to the region. Due to the extensive network across QLD and NT, Sea Swift are able to assist in emergency situations, attending communities that would otherwise be cut off and isolated in the days following a weather event or cyclone.
