Since 1987, Sea Swift has provided shipping and logistics services to coastal and remote communities with one goal in mind; to be Northern Australia’s most reliable shipping service. In the last 37 years, Sea Swift has serviced the Outer Torres Strait, Tiwi Islands, and remote communities of Northern Australia, supplying fuel, perishable food and essential goods and services to customers. Sea Swift is constantly evolving and innovating, with the company values at the heart of all operations: safety, trust, accountability, respect, and service.
Today, Sea Swift operates a fleet of 24 purpose-built vessels, offering a comprehensive range of services including general cargo and freight, oil and gas supplies, project charters, tug and barge operations, and support for key industries like mining, defense, and oil and gas. Our vessels are manned by a highly trained and skilled workforce dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability.
We are deeply committed to local employment and prioritise recruitment from remote communities and First Nations peoples. This commitment to diversity spans all areas of our business, from administrative roles to seafaring positions, and includes a robust trainee program in our depots.
Sea Swift operates eight depots across the Northern Territory and Queensland, serving thousands of customers each year. Our headquarters are located in Brisbane, Cairns, and Darwin, with additional depots in Gove, Groote Eylandt, Horn Island, Seisia/Bamaga, Thursday Island, and Weipa.
