Customer notice: COVID 3-day lockdown (Cairns region)

9 August 2021

As you would be aware, the Cairns and Yarrabah local government areas are in a three-day COVID lockdown from 4pm, Sunday 8 August 2021.

Sea Swift is continuing to adhere to our COVID-19 Management Plan to ensure that as an essential service provider, freight for the communities of Cape York and the Torres Strait continues to be shipped as per our schedule.

You will find that our staff are wearing face masks, and maintaining social distancing and contactless proof of receival/delivery. We would ask that if you are delivering freight to our Cairns freight terminal that you abide by these requirements and work with our team. Our aim is to ensure that the risk of exposure is reduced significantly here in Cairns, so that we can continue providing freight services, as we did during the initial outbreak of COVID-19.

There will be limited access to essential-only interactions at our office, and we are keeping our people at home to work remotely during this three-day lockdown. Phones will be diverted, and the best form of contact will be email.

Cairns customers are asked to adhere to the requirements of Queensland Health around ‘essential movement’, and information can be found from their website at www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/public-health-directions, or on Cairns Regional Council’s website at www.cairns.qld.gov.au/council/covid19

Sea Swift will continue to keep our customers informed of any changes to our services from the Cairns three-day lockdown, and will continue to work with Queensland Health and other organisations to keep up to date with the latest requirements.

Should you have any questions, please contact our Customer Service Team in Cairns at customerservice@seaswift.com.au

We thank you for your cooperation, patience, and support.

Kind regards,

Sea Swift team
