SEA SWIFT ANNOUNCES DARWIN DEPOT MOVE TO FRANCES BAY
Sea Swift is excited to announce the next phase of our investment and expansion in the Northern Territory which will involve our main depot moving to a site at Frances Bay.
Having outgrown our current depot site at Muramats Road, East Arm, the depot move to 12-14 Frances Bay provides our operations with additional capability and consolidates our resources in one location. The move means that all supplier deliveries including general freight and off-site receiving will now occur at the Frances Bay depot.
Sea Swift CEO Fred White said the move to Frances Bay represents the next step in the evolution of the company’s Northern Territory operations.
“We are proud of our role in continuing the heritage of Perkins Shipping and Toll Marine Logistics and the move to a consolidated depot at Frances Bay represents the next phase of that legacy,” Mr. White said.
“We understand that ultimately we will need to move out of this facility so are treating it purely as an interim step towards our ultimate facility which will be located on a new site in the Marine Industry Park at East Arm. We will therefore be engaging actively with the NT Government and land holders in the region to identify, design, build, and move to what will become our ultimate facility over the next few years.”
“Sea Swift has a long-term commitment to keeping our customers and communities in the Northern Territory connected and the Frances Bay depot allows us to provide a streamlined, efficient and comprehensive service from one central location in the interim.”
“As we enter our 30th year of operation, we are determined to continue our reliable, sustainable service long into the future and this depot move is a key factor in delivering on that commitment.”
All freight will be required to be delivered/received at Frances Bay from Monday 27th February. If you have any questions please contact the Darwin Office on 1800 424 422 or email
