COVID-19: Passenger Service Cancellation

17 March 2020

To our valued passengers,

Sea Swift would like to provide an update on our Adventure Cruise and the impact that this will have on our passengers.

Sea Swift operates in a remote region of Australia, and subsequently the health services in these regions have limitations. Advice from the local councils is that only essential or urgent outwards and inwards travel will now be permitted.

This includes all cruise ships, including the MV Trinity Bay. Therefore, based on the direction from the various local councils, Sea Swift will be required to cancel our cruises to the Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula Area for the immediate future. We anticipate that this will impact all March and April passengers. For these passengers, we will offer a full refund, or a credit in order of priority. At this stage, we are unaware of how long the travel restrictions will be in place, and will keep those passengers travelling after April well informed.

The safety, health and wellbeing of our employees, passengers and the communities we partner with is our number one priority during this time. Tourism is an important economic driver to the Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula Area, and we do thank you for your continued support as we work with key stakeholders in the communities to resume passenger services, once it is safe to do so.

Please stay in contact with Sea Swift via cruisebookings@seaswift.com.au or, monitor our Facebook and website pages (www.seaswift.com.au).

Kind Regards,

Peter Dominghini
